We are back! New Year 2026

We are back! New Year 2026

Hi everyone! Happy New Year! After some very much needed rest (and a quick retrospective on how the year went) we are ready to jump into 2026 and work on many new things!

Goals and Directions

2026 will be an exiting (and challenging) year, as we are working on a lot of projects and we cannot wait to share all of them with you!

We will continue updating Text Animator For Unity, which had a great 3.0 start (thank you 🥹) , with many new updates from editor improvements, effects and much more.

This year we also want to release new tools, some compatible with Text Animator For Unity but also some completely new and unrelated.

This year we want to share more posts as well, from tutorials to our own behind the scenes. We are planning to come back with video content, too!!

Text Animator for Unreal Engine

After having released Text Animator For Godot last year, we are now ready to launch Text Animator for Unreal this very month!! (In Early Access)

If you work with Unreal and want to achieve the same cool features of the Unity version, feel free to contact us to know more! We are expecting to launch on the store(s) in the near future, too.

Febucci Team Holidays

We spent the past few weeks cooling down a bit (as the last year was a lot), enjoying our families, playing games and getting stuck between endless Italian lunches and dinners. Here's what we found interesting during our rest:

Fede

It was a joke. I have been writing code every day, but in my defense it was not code related to work (much) so I was actually able to rest this time. Or maybe it doesn't count and I need to actually turn everything off for a moment (but it was impossible this time, due to people writing us support requests during the Holidays and having to check from time to time).

Anyways. Tech (outside of games) went crazy for AI in the past weeks. Anthropic launched Opus 4.5 and even people at Google claimed it develop stuff in one hour that they needed to work on for a year. Maybe their issue was politics (too many approvals or calls were needed and things got lost, while with AI they are able to just do it and show colleagues later), or maybe models actually improved, but anyways it's interesting to see from the outside.

Hello there! I really enjoy playing 2D platformers but I was not sure what to play during this holiday (after finishing Silksong). My two choices were Animal Well and Constance, and I decided to play Animal Well first. Federico recommended it to me (around a year ago, woops), and I'm glad I listened to him now.

Animal Well (2024) by Billy Basso

Other than what everyone (rightfully) praises about Animal Well (its secrets), I really liked the tools (Firecracker, Yoyo, ...) and the game pacing as well.

I had no idea what I was going to play when I started the game (I like to be surprised and experience everything fully, trying to stay away from spoilers, as I do the same with films).

Finding tools that were different from the classic ones used in 2D platformers or Metroidvania games was fascinating, and they fit in perfectly with the flow of the game. Each level tells or teaches you something and makes you wonder which one use to solve the puzzle(s), but without forcing you - which is what I loved. This game really stimulated my creativity and was some very well needed fresh air, after playing some similar games for too much time now.

Our dream is to develop something that sparks this kind of joy to players, and we have a lot to learn! Bravo, Billy!

Happy New Year✨ I hope you had a great holiday!

Personally, I spent my time resting after a year that can be summed up as a rollercoaster of emotions hahaha, BUT I also played a LOT of video games! That felt so good t.t

I needed to try some games I left behind over the years and oh boy the gems that I have found.

The games I played ^^

Let's say I experimented with different genres (and cried like a fountain too often 😭, you can guess why by looking at the games).

For now, I'll keep playing the Arkham saga BUT If you want to share a game that you loved/played this holiday, I’m open for suggestions!

In Conclusion

We tried to rest a little bit and now we are ready to start this new year! Thanks as always for the support. Stay tuned for new updates!

Ciao 🫶🏼
